Detail Itineary of Khopra and Kharaya lake Trek
Khopra Trek leads you off the beaten path from the main trail to Ghorepani Poon Hill. It offers very close views of the Himalayas
(Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Range ) and takes to the unique trail where people hardly get this opportunity. From Khopra danda one can explore beautiful valley and panoramic views from Dhaulagiri to Langtang which is magnificent Himalayan range. The majestic view of Annapurna south gives a perfect reflection which touches your heart.
Trek to Khopra begins from scenic ride to Pokhara and a lead up through Ghandruk village which is the biggest Gurung village has beautiful settlement. The trail continues follow to Tadapani and off the beaten trail to Bayali which is following the forest of Rhododendron and pine. It is not the normal tourist trail so you may not meet people on the way. As this is new trek route closer to Annapurnas, there are very basic teahouse available. So prepare for this. The trail leads even close to Annapurna South to Khopra Danda which offers great sunrise view with panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri with entire range. The Khayar Lake is another attraction of this trek which is really beautiful and quite. Then the trail turns other way down to Swanta and up to Ghorepani then ends at Pokhara.

Details itinerary of Khayar Lake Treks
Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival
Namaste and welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrival, we will greeted by a representative from Big Sky Treks and Expeditions. Our staff stay with Group leader's name display board at the arrival gate and transfer to hotel. After check in hotel, you will be free for your own activities such as a taking shower or rest at the hotel. After that we will discuss about the next day trip and explore city (It is depends on your arrival time )
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley City Tour
After breakfast, according to your interest we will organize Kathmandu city tour, which are historical and spiritual Place in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are consider the World Heritage historical Sites such as Durbar Square (Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar square), the sacred Hindu's temple Pashupatinath, ancient religious architecture Swayambhunath known as "Monkey Temple", the world largest Buddhists shrine Boudhanath. After finish city tour to hotel we will discuss about trek and rest of the time you could use for travelling around the Thamel and shopping of needed equipment and other necessaries..
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (800m) 6 hrs
Distance 200kms – Approximately 6 Hours Drive
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu (200km) via Prithvi Highway, takes 6hrs approximately (option to fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, takes extra cost). Along the way we will stop in scenic spots, for lunch and to get fresh as well, en-route we see more about countryside of Nepal that offers greenery, rivers, local villages, farm lands and beautiful mountain scenarios. In the evening, you have option to stroll around the Phewa Lake and local market in Pokhara
Day 04 : Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Ghandruk (1940m)
After finishing our breakfast, we will drive to Nayapul from Pokhara We will trek to Ghandruk walking on the straight up hill way. Ghandruk is a Gurung big Gurung settlements
Day 05 : Trek from Ghandruck to Tadapani (2721m)
The trail leads up to Bhaise kharka through the forest and continue up to the Tadapani. Mostly the trail offers scenic views of Annapurnas and forest. Overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 06 : Trek from Tadapani to Dobato (3460m)
From Tadapani to reach Dobato we walk through Jungle with breathtaking views of green scenery. Today the trail is narrow and offers the stunning view of Annapurna South with Modi Khola valley with the green forest of Pine and Rhododendron.
Day 07 : Trek from Dobato to Chhistibung (3100m)
We will move early in the morning for the sunrise view over gigantic mountains. Plus, the stunning vistas of Lamjung , Dhaulagiri , Annapurna , Manaslu and many other well-known peaks will reward you with amazing experience.
Day 08 : Trek from Chhistibung to Kopra Danda (4020m)
After breakfast, the walk begins uphill to the ridge and has majestic views of Annapurna's and the other valley of Kali Gandaki. It is mostly jungle walk today with beautiful scenery.
Day 09: Explore day Visit Khayar Lake
Visit a beautiful lake where very few people know about it. It is located at an altitude of 4620m above sea even higher than Annapurna Base Camp and the water is very clear. It is said by the locals that leopard comes there to drink water and there are many beautiful birds that you can see. It is 5 hours walk which is really worth walking.
Day 10: Trek from Khopra Dada to Swata (2270m)
It is down hill today at the beginning and up again to cross ridge to get to Swanta. Swanta offers beautiful view of Kali gandaki valley and Mt. Dhauligiri with surroundings peaks.
Day 11: Trek from Swata to Ghorepani (2855m)
After breakfast at the tea house the trail drops down to Chtre and up to Ghorepani which is popular trekking trail again where you meet other trekkers. Ghorepani is popular spot for trekkers to see beautiful distance views of Annapurnas and Dhauligiri. Poon hill is another attraction of Ghorepani where most people do sunrise trip which is the best views to all Annapurnas from the same spot.
Day 12: Trek from Ghorepani to Hile (1080m) early morning Poon Hill (3210m)
Wake up early morning prepare for the sunrise , suggest wear warm clothes and take headlight start to Hike up to Poon Hill (3210m) 45 minute climb. from Poon Hill we can see beautiful sunrise and beautiful mountain from poon hill we can see Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snow capped mountains Descend back to Ghorepani and after having breakfast After that, slowly descend to Hile
Day 13 : Trek from Hile to Nayapool and Drive to Pokhara
Today is our final day for trekking, we slowly follow our trail back to Nayapul where we can take see beautiful local people and we cross the Paddy field, Mostly path is flat till Nayapul when we arrive in Nayapul then we drive Back to Pokhara .
Day 14: Pokhara Free day
After finish trekking pokhara is a really nice places for chill out , pokhara is very popular for paragliding so suggest for that and you can enjoy the boat ride in phewa lake which is beautiful lake in Nepal or if you like to do city tour we can do city tour and visit most popular places like Bindivashini Temple , Devi's Fall Gupteshwor cave , Tibetan refugee camp , Mountain museum old Bazaar Etc , in evening if you are interested for shopping it a best places for shopping
Day 15: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (200 km/6-7 hrs). we can enjoy the diverse landscape and scenery en-route. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. We Have farewell dinner in Nepali Culture restaurant
Day 16: Departure to home
We will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to assist you for your final departure to your home or alternatively the next destination.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (800m) 6 hrs
Distance 200kms – Approximately 6 Hours Drive
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu (200km) via Prithvi Highway, takes 6hrs approximately (option to fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, takes extra cost). Along the way we will stop in scenic spots, for lunch and to get fresh as well, en-route we see more about countryside of Nepal that offers greenery, rivers, local villages, farm lands and beautiful mountain scenarios. In the evening, you have option to stroll around the Phewa Lake and local market in Pokhara
Day 04 : Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Ghandruk (1940m)
After finishing our breakfast, we will drive to Nayapul from Pokhara We will trek to Ghandruk walking on the straight up hill way. Ghandruk is a Gurung big Gurung settlements
Day 05 : Trek from Ghandruck to Tadapani (2721m)
The trail leads up to Bhaise kharka through the forest and continue up to the Tadapani. Mostly the trail offers scenic views of Annapurnas and forest. Overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 06 : Trek from Tadapani to Dobato (3460m)
From Tadapani to reach Dobato we walk through Jungle with breathtaking views of green scenery. Today the trail is narrow and offers the stunning view of Annapurna South with Modi Khola valley with the green forest of Pine and Rhododendron.
Day 07 : Trek from Dobato to Chhistibung (3100m)
We will move early in the morning for the sunrise view over gigantic mountains. Plus, the stunning vistas of Lamjung , Dhaulagiri , Annapurna , Manaslu and many other well-known peaks will reward you with amazing experience.
Day 08 : Trek from Chhistibung to Kopra Danda (4020m)
After breakfast, the walk begins uphill to the ridge and has majestic views of Annapurna's and the other valley of Kali Gandaki. It is mostly jungle walk today with beautiful scenery.
Day 09: Explore day Visit Khayar Lake
Visit a beautiful lake where very few people know about it. It is located at an altitude of 4620m above sea even higher than Annapurna Base Camp and the water is very clear. It is said by the locals that leopard comes there to drink water and there are many beautiful birds that you can see. It is 5 hours walk which is really worth walking.
Day 10: Trek from Khopra Dada to Swata (2270m)
It is down hill today at the beginning and up again to cross ridge to get to Swanta. Swanta offers beautiful view of Kali gandaki valley and Mt. Dhauligiri with surroundings peaks.
Day 11: Trek from Swata to Ghorepani (2855m)
After breakfast at the tea house the trail drops down to Chtre and up to Ghorepani which is popular trekking trail again where you meet other trekkers. Ghorepani is popular spot for trekkers to see beautiful distance views of Annapurnas and Dhauligiri. Poon hill is another attraction of Ghorepani where most people do sunrise trip which is the best views to all Annapurnas from the same spot.
Day 12: Trek from Ghorepani to Hile (1080m) early morning Poon Hill (3210m)
Wake up early morning prepare for the sunrise , suggest wear warm clothes and take headlight start to Hike up to Poon Hill (3210m) 45 minute climb. from Poon Hill we can see beautiful sunrise and beautiful mountain from poon hill we can see Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snow capped mountains Descend back to Ghorepani and after having breakfast After that, slowly descend to Hile
Day 13 : Trek from Hile to Nayapool and Drive to Pokhara
Today is our final day for trekking, we slowly follow our trail back to Nayapul where we can take see beautiful local people and we cross the Paddy field, Mostly path is flat till Nayapul when we arrive in Nayapul then we drive Back to Pokhara .
Day 14: Pokhara Free day
After finish trekking pokhara is a really nice places for chill out , pokhara is very popular for paragliding so suggest for that and you can enjoy the boat ride in phewa lake which is beautiful lake in Nepal or if you like to do city tour we can do city tour and visit most popular places like Bindivashini Temple , Devi's Fall Gupteshwor cave , Tibetan refugee camp , Mountain museum old Bazaar Etc , in evening if you are interested for shopping it a best places for shopping
Day 15: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (200 km/6-7 hrs). we can enjoy the diverse landscape and scenery en-route. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. We Have farewell dinner in Nepali Culture restaurant
Day 16: Departure to home
We will drop you to the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to assist you for your final departure to your home or alternatively the next destination.
